This is the way of apprenticeship. It’s a shift from the “information-age” approach to Scripture—where we treat the Bible like a Wikipedia page—to a posture of being mastered by the text.
We’re inviting you into a 3-week Practice Lab. This isn’t a lecture series. It’s a space to slow down, quiet the internal noise, and move from knowing about God to being with God.
Drawing from ancient monastic rhythms but translated for our modern, hurried lives, we’ll move through four movements together:
- The Bite: We read slowly.
- The Chew: We ruminate. What is the Spirit saying to me?
- The Savor: We talk back to God.
- The Digest: We simply sit in the presence of the One who spoke.
The Environment:
To protect this stillness, we’ve curated a specific space: low lighting, ambient music, and a strict phone-free expectation. We’re not here to perform; we’re here to settle the sediment of our souls so we can hear the "still small voice" above the chaos of our digital lives.
The Journey:
- Week 1: The Paradigm Shift (Moving from Data to Relationship)
- Week 2: The Noise & The Whisper (Confronting the internal hurry)
- Week 3: The With-God Life (Moving the text into the streets)
Are you ready to slow down?
