At City Pointe Church, we believe that true community happens when we do life together—beyond Sunday mornings. This is a place where we want you to feel seen, known, and connected. We gather in homes, share meals, and walk alongside each other as we grow in our faith and relationships. We’re excited to welcome you into this intentional, caring community where you can truly belong.
To know who Jesus is - To live as Jesus says - To do as Jesus does
At City Pointe Church, we are a vibrant community of disciples dedicated to understanding who Jesus is, living according to His teachings, and acting in alignment with His example. Our mission is to show God's will in Plant City, mirroring the reality of heaven. Together, we strive to grow in our relationship with Jesus, embody His principles, and share His love within our lives and the broader community. We invite you to join us as we grow our faith, walk with purpose, and pursue the fullness of God's vision for our city and beyond.
Prayer and worship are core disciplines in the life of a believer. Prayer possesses the remarkable ability to bring about transformative change as it serves as a catalyst for the advancement of the kingdom of God. Similarly, worship extends beyond the mere singing of lyrics during a Sunday gathering; it is a posture that prepares our hearts to experience the profound presence and power of God in our lives. We do not approach prayer and worship with apathy; instead, we come with eager expectations, recognizing our dependence on God's strength rather than relying on our own.
Our passion is to further the gospel of Christ as commissioned by our Savior. We are an apostolic church embracing our calling to reach our immediate community, distant nations, and unreached people groups. While there are many unreached individuals right here in Plant City and the greater Tampa Bay area, we also recognize the vast number of unreached people worldwide. We are firmly committed to both the local and international church. We actively invest our thoughts, efforts, and resources in our local community, but we are equally driven by this commission to see vibrant churches planted and thriving across the United States and the globe. Our hearts are set on fulfilling the Great Commission, extending the reach of the gospel to the ends of the earth.
WWe embrace our identity as a participatory church body, where every individual recognizes their intrinsic value as a vital member, contributing to the growth and edification of the Bride. Each of us possesses unique gifts and abilities, and we actively strive to develop them for the purpose of strengthening the Church. Recognizing that we all have a significant role to fulfill, we commit ourselves to a continuous journey of growth, using our time, talents, and treasures to further the kingdom of God.
We faithfully hold fast to the fellowship with the Holy Spirit in this age of the Church. The gifts, roles, and manifestations of the Spirit are actively present within the body of believers. It is an ongoing journey for believers, through the working of the Holy Spirit, as they continually deepen their understanding of the Lord and His holy Word. Flowing from this understanding comes knowledge and growth. Within this framework, we acknowledge and embrace the diverse ways in which the Spirit operates, by empowering and equipping each member of the body to contribute uniquely and meaningfully according to their giftings.
In the United States, the influence of secularism, individualism, consumerism, and the digital age has posed significant challenges to the path of discipleship. Nevertheless, we firmly believe in the importance of shepherding disciples who can not only withstand but also flourish in our culture. We strive to nurture believers who are firmly grounded and actively engaged in following the teachings and example of Jesus. Our mission is to make disciples of all nations and equip the saints to do the work of the ministry by shepherding them to become effective evangelists, teachers, mentors, and disciplemakers, all the while empowering others to embrace, embody, and walk in the ways of Jesus.
Jesus' ministry served as a proclamation of the arrival and accessibility of the Kingdom of Heaven. Through Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross, burial, and triumphant resurrection, we are not only forgiven but also transformed into new creations and given new life as citizens of Heaven. We are liberated from the grip of Satan, sin, and death. We embrace the abundant grace of God as we journey with Him into the age to come.
We firmly hold the belief that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is the very breath of God, infused into the hearts and minds of human authors who were guided by the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures hold great value and significance as they serve to teach, rebuke, correct, and train us in righteous living. Through their profound wisdom, we, as followers of Jesus, are fully equipped to engage in every good work and embrace our true identity in Christ as we walk in an everlasting fellowship with Him. In a world where cultural influences attempt to sway us to disregard or reinterpret the Scriptures, we choose not to yield to these pressures. Instead, we stand obediently, resolutely, and faithfully on the unwavering truth of the inspired Word of God.
We find ourselves immersed in a culture characterized by weak bonds, where individualism erodes the foundations of profound connections, reducing them to mere consumers. However, as a faith community, we deliberately strive to embrace the profound and meaningful relationships that God has always intended for His people.
